Extra Provincial / Federal Corporations and Cooperatives
Extra Provincial or Federal corporations or cooperatives wanting to carry on business in Manitoba must be registered under The Corporations Act.
Step 1: File a Request for Name Reservation
- A Request for Name Reservation must be filed with the fee of $45.00 to determine if the name is available (except for numbered names). This form can be filed online.
- Refer to the Name Reservation page for more information.
Step 2: File an Application for Registration
- File an Application for Registration with the fee of $350.00 before the name reservation expires.
- Extra Provincial corporations or cooperatives must file a Power of Attorney appointing an individual residing in Manitoba as the Attorney for Service.
- Federal corporations or cooperatives must file a Power of Attorney unless the Registered Office Address is in Manitoba and there is a Director or Officer residing in Manitoba.
